The ideal start to your regeneration. You don't have to do anything, because the Flying Mozart mountain railway takes the first step for you. Even during the ride, you will feel yourself distancing yourself from everyday life. With every metre you climb, the view becomes wider, your head clearer, and you feel lighter, calmer and more relaxed.

🌊 Moments of regeneration around the Rupertisee

The Rupertisee (40 min, 277hm)

The Flying Mozart takes you to lofty heights without any physical effort, allowing you to escape from the everyday. With every metre you climb, your perception changes: your view becomes wider, your head clearer and everyday life fades into the background. Once you reach the top, you are greeted by clear, pollen-free mountain air, which is particularly beneficial for sensitive airways. The descent via hiking trail no. 714 towards Wagrain leads through open landscapes with sweeping views of the valley. Such impressions can help to strengthen the feeling of space and freedom. When you arrive at the lake, you will find a place of tranquillity. Walking barefoot on grass or stones creates direct contact with your surroundings, sharpens your senses and focuses your attention on the here and now. Observe the calming water, the most precious resource on our planet – how does it make you feel?

🌿 Moments of regeneration at the Saukarfunktel

The Saukarfunktel

The route from the mountain station via the Kriegerkreuz and the Grießenkareck to the Saukarfunktel is a gentle physical challenge (trail no. 41 along the ridge

towards Kleinarl). When walking uphill, the movement in the fresh air supports the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. When walking downhill, the thigh muscles in particular are used, which can improve joint stability, coordination and neuromuscular control. Along the way, you are accompanied by natural background sounds. Wind, birdsong and the humming of insects create an acoustic environment that is associated with mental relief. The characteristic scent of mountain pine hangs in the air. This plant releases volatile organic compounds known as terpenes. Studies show that such natural substances are absorbed through the respiratory tract and, under certain conditions, can have a calming effect and promote subjective well-being.

Exercise: The summit of the senses
Name five things you see, four things you hear, three things you smell and two things you taste.

By mindfully perceiving these things, we learn to appreciate once again the beauty that nature gives us.
