Die Regenerationsmomente

🌊 Moments of regeneration around Lake Grafenberg

Grafenberg Lake – right next to the mountain station (5 min, 5 m elevation gain)

The fresh mountain air at higher altitudes usually contains significantly less pollen. This can make breathing easier for people with respiratory diseases or allergies. Right next to the mountain station, Grafenbergsee lake invites you to take a break. The surrounding mountain panorama opens up vastness – both in a literal and figurative sense. Studies show that experiencing nature and aesthetic impressions, such as marvelling at an impressive landscape, can help to interrupt stressful thought spirals (rumination) and promote positive emotions. Walking barefoot on grass, earth or flat stones brings you into direct contact with natural stimuli. This sensory stimulus stimulates numerous nerve endings on the soles of the feet.

🌿 Moments of regeneration at the Fieberbründl

The Fieberbründl (25 min, 53 hm)

A gentle walk of around 30 minutes from the mountain station (signposted no. 712) takes you to Fieberbründl, a place where nature and relaxation come together in a special way. Exercising in the fresh mountain air strengthens the cardiovascular and respiratory systems and can contribute to mental regeneration. The barefoot path with its cool, natural surface acts as a gentle stimulation therapy: it stimulates the soles of the feet, promotes blood circulation and thus acts like a gentle foot massage. At this place of rest and regeneration, cool spring water meets the aromatic forest air of the larch trees. Studies show that trees – including larch trees – release volatile organic compounds such as terpenes. These are associated with positive effects on stress regulation, immune function and mood. The variety of microorganisms on the alpine pasture absorbed through the skin or respiratory tract strengthens your body's own microbiome and thus stimulates your immune system.
