The Rupertisee is an artificially created reservoir that is used for snowmaking on the slopes in winter. Due to its wonderful location with a great panoramic and valley view to Wagrain, the lake is a popular destination for numerous visitors. Along the footpath from the top station of the gondola lift "Flying Mozart" to the lake, numerous information boards have been set up by the Wagrain cable cars.
During a sporty excursion to the Rupertisee you can dip your feet into the pleasantly refreshing, man-made reservoir (NOT a swimming lake!). Enjoy the mountain panorama of the Radstädter and Hohe Tauern - this is pure vacation feeling in Wagrain-Kleinarl!
Take the Wagrain local bus to the Flying Mozart valley station. From there you can either take the gondola, hike to Rupertisee or rent a mountain (e-)bike at JJ Biking and go on a bike tour.
