Experience Organic

3 farmers from Kleinarl share a vision: They want to make the region the "Organic Valley Wagrain-Kleinarl". They live this vision and want to bring you closer to the diversity of local food.

In doing so, they place special emphasis on sustainable soil management, regionality and they always focus on their ecological footprint.

They started a few years ago with their "milk workshop" at the Hirschleitenhof in Kleinarl. There they produce milk, butter and a wide variety of cheeses in organic quality. You can taste the difference - guaranteed. In addition to the following organic farmers, the Steinbauer bakery is also part of the party and offers organic bread and organic pastries.

Available products are available around the clock 365 days a year at Hirschleiten with self-service and trust checkout. In front of the entrance of the farm store is a refrigerator, from which everyone can take his favorite products.

Regional, artisanal - but not retro and old-fashioned

A low, old hut, on a green mountain pasture with a rugged mountain backdrop, cows milked by hand, a copper kettle in the front hut on the open fire, a cheesemaker in lederhosen with a Seppl hat stirring the curds, at his side a girl styled as if from a Heidi movie - this scene of a romantic mountain pasture image is a retro idea of modern milk processing.

Such images are sometimes falsely used and abused by the food industry for advertising purposes. And you should please say goodbye to this, if you ever believed in it.

Even in the smallest, regional dairy, on a mountain farm like the Hirschleiten, modern milk processing is a process that meets the highest hygienic standards.

Arrival by car
via the A10 Tauern freeway from Salzburg or Villach.Freeway exit 66 "Flachau". Follow the main road for 10 km to Wagrain-Kleinarl.
From Wagrain it is about 7 km to Kleinarl. After the village center at the Angerwirt turn right over the Angerwirt bridge - 1.9 km to Hirschleiten.
