The Blue Lake is a small meltwater pit on the Ennskraxn rock face. To reach the lake, you have to hike a steep path through the high forest and along the forest ridge. The tour takes about 3 to 3.5 hours and has an elevation gain of 950 meters. An insider tip is the Kaiserschmarrn at the Steinkaralm on the way to the Blauer See.
The first hurdle of finding a parking space is easily overcome by public transport. With the bus line 530 & 532 you can easily reach the starting point of the hike. The Daxbauer station takes you directly to the first meters of altitude.
