There are many places that put a smile on children's faces in Wagrain-Kleinarl. The Wasserwelt Wagrain, for example. Or the Sun House on the Shuttleberg. But nowhere does the smile last as long as in the children's ski paradise Wagrainis Winterwelt in the Snow Space Salzburg ski area.
We took a look at what makes the beginners' area for kids at the "Rote 8er" middle station so special.
Passing the large snow igloo, we start onto the wave track with speed check - the ideal place for all upcoming downhillers. My 17 km/h already feels like a record.
The short but crisp ice channel is very busy: the children can't seem to get enough of the downhill action in the tires. "I've probably gone down 10 times today, the snow tubing is really good fun," says Oliver and heads straight back to the magic carpet, which takes the kids up to the start surrounded by the purest winter idyll in the forest.
The Edelweiss-Alm is the ideal place to recharge your batteries. During a stop-off at the foot of the Edelweiss lift, you can enjoy the rustic and cozy hut ambience together and fortify yourselves with culinary hut delicacies.
