The idyllically situated Jägersee Lake is only 4 kilometres away from Kleinarl and very easy to reach by bike, bus or car. The emerald green, crystal clear body of water is a particularly popular starting point for day hikes and gentle walks.
Passing a gushing mountain stream, you will have a special experience when walking around the Jägersee Lake on the easily accessible circular hiking trail through forests and meadows. To recharge your batteries, stop for refreshment at the Gasthaus Jägersee.
The hike to the Tappenkarsee Lake leads along the Jägersee Lake to the Schwabalm car park. You can get there either on foot or by car via the toll road. Numerous hairpin bends lead you over 750 metres in altitude through enchanting landscape formations.
After about 2.5 hours, you will be rewarded with a majestic view of the largest mountain lake in the Eastern Alps, which is embedded in steep rock faces. Enjoy the unique atmosphere to the full during a refreshment stop at the Tappenkarseehütte or the Tappenkarseealm.
The Daarmoossee and Niederbergsee Lakes are located in the Weberlandl district, near the middle station of the "Roten 8er" cable car in Wagrain (closed in summer). Only a stone's throw away from Wagraini's winter world, the lakes are also a wonderful hiking destination for all ages in summer.
In the immediate vicinity of the Daarmoossee, you can explore the farm museum and relax on the wonderful sun terrace of the Edelweiss-Alm.
On a sporty hike to the Rupertisee Lake you can dip your feet into the pleasantly refreshing, man-made reservoir. Enjoy the mountain panorama of the Radstädter and Hohe Tauern mountains - that's pure holiday feeling in Wagrain-Kleinarl!
