The center of Wagrain is embedded between two special ski mountains: Grießenkareck in the north-east and Grafenberg in the south-west. Skiers have always covered the distance between the two ski mountains by ski bus. However, this is history since the winter of 2013/14: The G-LINK, a gigantic cable car, spans the valley between the ski mountains and thus adds a new level of comfort to your skiing trip to the Salzburg world of sports.
Embark on a journey high above Wagrain and float conveniently from Grießenkareck to Grafenberg and back with the G-LINK cable car.
The special cable car in Wagrain
Since the 2013/14 winter season, the enormous G-LINK cable car has connected the mid station of the Flying Mozart cable car and the junction at the mountain station of Grafenberg Express I and the valley station of Grafenberg Experess II. In only a few minutes, skiers can now cover the distance between the two Wagrain skiing areas in a comfortable and timesaving manner.
The cable car consists of two cabins with a capacity of 130 persons in addition to the conductor. The maximum capacity per hour and direction is 1,300 people. Further details about the new cable car can be found on the Bergbahnen Wagrain website.
"The maximum distance between the ground and the cable on the six-minute ride over the center of Wagrain is approx. 230 meters."
